The flowers of the cystaceae remain open for a short time and do not produce much nectar. However, they are quite attractive to many coleopterans, hymenopterans and dipterans due to the large amount of pollen produced by the numerous stamens they contain.

Les flors de les cistàcies queden obertes poc temps i no produeixen gaire nèctar. No obstant això, són força atractives per molts coleòpters, himenòpters i dípters per la gran quantitat de pol·len que produeixen els nombrosos estams que contenen.
